I have done a VERY fun collaboration with Yealands Wines and Auckland based artist Evie Kemp that I am so excited to share. We have designed an amazing dinner party YOU can recreate for friends and family. I love cooking for people in my home but I realise it can be intimidating so I have designed a really simple menu. On top of that we have printable menus, place cards plus table decorating ideas! Everything you need to throw the best dinner party ever!
Hello! So this is a bit of a different post for me but one I know you will love! Yealands Wines is a brand I have worked with for a couple of years. I have write recipes for them to go with their wines. My very talented friend Evie Kemp and I had this dream of designing the perfect dinner party. Yealands are the perfect fit because what is a dinner party without wine?! So we introduce the Yealands Supperclub!
We have designed not only delicious and simple food courses but printable menus, place cards and table ideas. This truly is an easy to recreate dinner party (or lunch!) that you can make at home. You can pretty much download a template and replicate to a tee! All the info can be found here on the Yealands Website.
Easy to make, simple and incredibly flavoursome dishes that will have you mostly out of the kitchen and enjoying the time with your guests. Because being together and sharing a meal is what life is about and this template will make it all the easier.
What are we eating?
If the thought of cooking for people scares you, it shouldn’t. Being cooked for is such a gift and your guests will be so happy to come and share some food and wine. That is why I have designed this simple menu. It isn’t fancy, it won’t intimidate and most importantly it won’t stress YOU out.
Starter - Crostini
A simple crostini with two toppings that you can bring out when people arrive to snack on while you have a drink. One has a whipped goats cheese base with fresh thyme and honey. The second has ricotta layered with pear, prosciutto, rocket and olive oil.

Main - Hand Rolled Pasta in a Roast Tomato Sauce
I wanted to create a vegetarian pasta dish to make it easy for all guests. You could add some fried pancetta or a couple of tablespoons of nduja if you wanted to add a meaty touch. A simple roast tomato sauce is a go to for guests as you can make it the day before. All you need to do at the time is boil some water for the pasta and mix it all together. Finished with olives, burrata and olive oil.
I HIGHLY recommend getting your guests to make the pasta. It's such a fun activity and would add such a hands on element to the evening.
Side dish - Lettuce Wedge Salad
Pasta is a filling main course and my favourite thing to serve with it is a lettuce wedge salad. Sprinkled with toasted panko crumbs and drizzled with a creamy dressing. It always looks really stunning on a big serving platter.
Dessert - Chocolate Swirled Meringues
Meringues are another make ahead weapon that I love to serve. Swirled with dark chocolate and topped with an insanely delicious whipped cream cream cheese. Finished with toasted hazelnuts and berries.
