
Hello! My name is Emilie Pullar and I am so glad you are here! I live in Auckland, New Zealand and am a fashion designer by day and pasta chef at night.
I have run my own clothing label Maaike Clothing for 12 years and absolutely love it but food has also been a life long passion and now I am so happy to be able to incorporate it into my life.
How did I start my pasta journey?
I have always loved Italian food, pasta especially and have always sporadically made fresh pasta at home. Running my own fashion business hasn't always afforded me the time to spend long nights and weekends cooking, enter lockdowns! It is such a cliche but this really was born out being stuck at home and having time off at home for the first time....ever! I honed my skills through trial and error and other pasta chefs through books and instagram.


Why learn from me?
I just want to teach people how to make delicious simple (and sometimes not so simple) pasta dishes at home and I feel because I am self taught I can hopefully explain things in a way that is easy for a beginner to understand. Pasta can be intimidating but it really is so easy, how hard can flour and eggs really be?!
